They say wearing black is slimming and many feel that wearing black is elegant and makes them feel more confident.
Personal I NEVER wear black as it has the opposite effect – it makes me feel literally down in the dumps and in turn, less confident…and wearing black clothes in summer for me is a no no…the brighter the better.
But it seems people who opt to wear bright clothes all year long are in the minority. You only have to try and shop for bright colours in winter to see that.
The are many theories on this and trawling through the internet you can find there have been many studies on topics such as ‘What colour should I wear’ Or ‘What colour is best to wear’…or ‘Which colour looks best on you..’ and strangely black always comes out top – but is wearing black clothes what we are ‘programmed’ to like because the media tells us that wearing black is elegant, sexy and portrays intelligence? So, therefore, are these so-called studies factually correct or simply heavily infuenced by other studies?
Don’t be influenced – if you like wearing black clothes – wear black clothes if not then don’t…and if you want to wear brightly coloured bold patterns clothes in winter – invest in a sowing machine and learn how to make your own clothes as you’ll find them difficult to find 😉
